I designed my new pool which should be completed by August 1st. It is progressing well.
A couple of ideas I found in this picture, featured in "Pool Life."
No concrete...too rough for soothing waters that are meant to calm the soul, re-energize the body.
(And being a true Pieces, I adore the feel, the depths of water.)
Instead, I chose a wood deck and a six foot privacy fence.
Mermaids do need their privacy...LOL

The hot tub will be placed as in the picture, but won't be as large. (I don't think) I am changing with each new work day. I know these guys will be thrilled upon completion!!!
The 3 large palm bushes I am replacing with palm trees. A taste of the Caribbean with a Virgin Pina Colada and I'm sure I will be happy with this stage.
The shape of the pool is slightly more curvy than the pool shown in this picture.

I thought maybe a few flower beds atop the boulders surrounding the hot tub and also across the other side of the pool.
My pool will have only 2 layers of that gorgeous stone. Although I wanted more, sometimes less is more!!!
I was given as a gift, 3 beautiful Gardenia bushes. They are starting to bloom in their pots, and it should be just in time to be planted permenantly in their beds. I just adore the aroma.
Any other landscaping ideas would be welcomed...pool owners and soon to be's!!!

I am really looking forward to this...especially with everything that has been going on here.
I pray I have the time to enjoy my new pool. I'm sure the routine I'm seeking will be a gradual one. I can live with that!
I did want to share my excitement, though at most times, so brief.
Now, when I wander the property at 3 in the morning, at least I'll have a place to land.
Peace...OH, a huge PEACE sign will dress the bottom of my new 'pond of play!'
I'll post the pictures when it's completed.
